Source Greenpeace’s 2012 fashion shoot, to “Put pollution on Parade,” drew attention to the damaging environmental effects of toxic waste produced by China’s textile industry. Shot on the banks of Qiantang River, Hangzou, the spread disrupts the glamour of fashion by framing the production of such garments within an industry complicit in the release of hazardous substances into local water systems.
