The Digital Quilt is part of World Factory, a multi-platform performance project. World Factory explores the systems behind the global textile industry, juxtaposing 19th century Manchester with contemporary China.
The project involves a team of people working together as part of a company called METIS. We are committed to public engagement in our projects: not just at the point of presenting a performance, but through the whole process. We are publicly mapping our research online, through the digital quilt.
